What I am Reading Update...

I finished The Book of Ruth and then went right on to reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy, this is Oprah's latest pick and was a pretty quick read. I found the writing style a little strange at first, but got over it... I really couldn't stand the lack of apostrophes, I didn't exactly get over that bit, however it did not take away from the story. I was puzzled by the book's end and sort of wished that it went a little further, I suppose that is the sign of a great book, if it keeps you wanting more. I have already passed this on to a co-worker and I suspect that he will already have it back to me by tomorrow. I am now currently reading The Falls by Joyce Carol Oates, this book is close to 500 pages and I am currently 60 in, so this may take a while. I have read We Were the Mulvaneys by Oates as it was an Oprah pick back in 2001. As with many Oprah pick authors, I decided to give the author another try and so far I am not disappointed with this choice.

I still have The Penelopiad in my purse, still with little opportunity to actually crack open my purse book, it is slowly being read. Perhaps I will complete this book on my next Disney trip, which is quickly approaching.
